Thanks to local newspapers and the Internet, detailed and timely information is available on all members of Congress.

Before you come to Washington or when anticipating an appointment in a state or district office:

Watch local newspapers for articles about your representatives and senators.

Check out your legislators’ web sites. For assistance in finding these, go to Congress.org. Enter your ZIP code to get to information about your legislators and click on the links to their home pages.

If your legislator is on a committee important to VA policy or funding, check out the web sites for those Committees. Go to http://thomas.loc.gov/ and click the links to “House” and “Senate.” Each will bring you to a page with a link to “Committees.”
